Clinique UV-Response SPF 30 For Face

I tend to be kind of finicky when it comes to which kinds of sunblock I will use on my face because I worry about break outs that I have experienced with some brands, ie. Hawaiian Tropic or Coppertone. Most of the more well known store brands I wouldn't put near my face because of how heavy they are. The only exception to this rule is the L'Oreal's Ombrelle line. I usually use the spf 15, which I find works great for both face and body. It's more like a moisturizer in consistency and less greasy than other sunblocks. It also doesn't clog my pores when I use it on my face alone, or when I use a little under my makeup. It's a great product that I highly recommend.

I have tried a few just for face sun blocks, and for the most part I usually use a moisturizer with spf in it, or I use a tinted moisturizer with spf, so I didn't think I really needed one. Then I heard about Clinique's UV-Response SPF 30 For Face. Supposedly the block has antioxidant properties that offer your skin more protection as the sun's uva/uvb levels increase. That's sounded pretty amazing to me: a product that prevents and repairs damage as you're wearing it.

I put some of the block on before I went for a run on a very sunny day. It's a little heavier than the Ombrelle, and it leaves your skin a little shiny. It protected my face from the sun (I didn't get burned even though I was out in direct sun for a while - it was a long run) and it didn't make my skin break out, even when I was really sweating. Overall, I liked the Clinique UV-Response SPF 30 For Face, but I'm not sure if the antioxidant properties were at work - hopefully they were. I guess you have to take Clinique's word for it, but it's a really nice sun block perfect for the beach so you don't have to worry about premature aging while you're enjoying the warm weather.
