I primarily use Origins for my skin care routine, and the last time I went to buy my moisturizer Balanced Diet, I was given a week sample of the the new Organics Nourishing Face Lotion, which is from their new Organics line of skin care. It was supposed to be very similar to the lotion I usually use on my face. Apparently 95% of the ingredients are certified organic by the USDA. I was game to give it a try, and I think it's great that Origins is trying to go more green.
The first thing you notice when you put the cream on is the less than pleasant scent, kind of reminiscent of bug spray, and it takes a while to fade. I didn't like how greasy it felt on my face; it was like a layer of oil was sitting on top of my skin once I had rubbed the product in - not very appealing. I gave the product the week to be fair, and by the end I was noticing small breakouts in my t-zone and around my hairline.
Overall, I was not a fan of the product, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have incredibly
dry skin. The Origins website says it's for all skin types, which isn't true at all. I have combination skin, and the product was way too oily for me, and totally clogged my pores. I am definitely sticking to my old moisturizer Balanced Diet - which is great for my skin. It hydrates dry areas and doesn't leave my face feeling oily - it's a great light weight moisturizer. I think that Origins need to work out the kinks on the Organics line a little more in order to make the products more appealing.
