Wimbledon Update

Big news from the All England Club: some of the biggest names in tennis have been eliminated.
Yesterday both Roddick and Sharapova were defeated on day four of the tournament. Sharapova lost in straight sets to Alla Kudryavtseva, a player who is ranked 151 spots lower in the international rankings. And Roddick lost to Janko Tipsarevic in a much closer match. In the last set it looked like Roddick had it with two opportunities at match point, but he just let them slip through his fingers. What drama, it's
like when Federer lost to Nadal by such a huge margin at the
French Open a few weeks ago.

Lindsay Davenport has withdrawn from play after winning her match due to a knee injury, which she wants to make sure will be healthy for her to play at the Olympics.

Nadal, Federer, and both Williams sisters are still in play. It will be interesting to see what happens next!
