Bare Escentual's Buxom Big & Healthy Full-Color Lip Polish

I tried a new gloss that came in the Bare Escentuals Ruby gift set the other day (fantastic gift set by the way), and I liked it so much that I went out and bought the gloss in another color- this fantastic deep red with a bit of a gold shimmer called Vanessa. I must say that I have been impressed with most of the Bare Escentuals products, but I think the Buxom Big & Healthy Full-Color Lip Polish takes the cake.

The full color glosses are one half of the Buxom lip gloss line, the other half being the sheer collection. The Buxom Lips collection are glosses that are loaded with shimmer, and in the case of the full color line, amazingly rich shades. The formula is thicker than other glosses, but don't interpret that as sticky or tacky- these glosses don't leave your lips feeling as though they were glued together. And because of the thicker consistency, the gloss lasts a remarkably long time.

The high shimmer content combined with the glossy finish do give your lips a little plumper appearance, and the menthol in the gloss leaves a little tingle, but I wouldn't say that your lips are considerably bigger by having used the gloss. I haven't found a gloss with as much pigment as the Buxom full color glosses since the Guerlain KissKiss glosses, but the Buxom aren't as sticky and don't have the heavy fruity/floral scent the Guerlain glosses have- a definite plus in my book.
