L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara

L'Oreal just released a new mascara that boasts it can extend lashes up to 80%. Who could resist trying out a mascara with those possible results, obviously not me. The L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara is another mascara that builds tubes on to the end of your lashes, dramatically increasing lash length. Now, I know what you are thinking, there are other mascaras that have been on the market for a while that do the same thing. And yes, that's true but the L'Oreal Beauty Tubes mascara does it differently than the others with better results.

The Beauty Tubes mascara uses a two step method: the first to build length, and the second to coat the lashes. The first coat is an ultra-nourishing base coat with Ceramide R which nourishes the lashes, and provides a unique layer of protection that prepares lashes for Beauty Tubes. You have to let that set for a while before you add the next layer. The second step is the ultra-lengthening tube top coat sets to form lash-extending beauty tubes that lengthen the lashes.

I was a little hesitant to buy another two step mascara. All of the ones I have tried tend to be super clumpy, never actually do what they claim, and by the end of the day would flake or smudge all over my face. But the Beauty Tubes mascara surprised me. The two steps did form some crazy long lashes, and there was no flaking or smudging at all.

But most importantly it does add an amazing amount of length to your lashes. My lashes were considerably longer than a lot of other supposed "lengthening" mascaras could achieve. (I would recommend having an eyelash comb nearby when apply the two coats, but it isn't necessary, the mascara is surprisingly clump free. I just like my lashes really defined and separated, so I like the eyelash comb.) One of my favorite features of the mascara is the fact that that it stays in place, so I didn't have to worry if I accidentally rubbed my lashes that I would have black flakes all around my eye-absolutely love that! But because the formula sticks so well to the lashes, it takes a lot of warm water to get it off. And it's not the most thickening mascara, but it doesn't claim to be, so I'll let that slip.

For the price point ($14.99), I found the Beauty Tubes mascara definitely worth a try, especially since New Year's is coming up, which always calls for dramatic makeup that will last into the wee hours of the morning without running all over the place. It's a pretty fantastic product, so if you'd like to read more about it, visit the Beauty Tubes website.
