Redken Water Wax

Since I have pretty short hair, I'm always on the lookout for defining products that don't leave your hair waxy or take a ton of shampoo to get rid of. Defining products give you a little bit of control over fly-aways, or allow you to piece out your hair and make it look more edgy. Defining products are supposed to be versatile and don't weigh your hair down or make it look greasy.

While I was at my fantastic salon (Exit Salon) and eating the most delicious Belgian sugar waffles (you should totally try them, they were from The Waffle Bar) while I was getting my hair done, I tried out the Redken Water Wax. The Water Wax is a light control defining wax that is water based, which means it will wash out and won't leave build up on your hair. Once I warmed it up in may hands and applied to to my hair, I totally loved how it felt. It creates nice definition, and adds tons of shine (there is a bit of a shimmer in the wax). What I like most it that it didn't make my hair feel gross or greasy, and it doesn't get crunchy by the end of the day. It's available to buy at most Redken salons, but if you'd like to read more about it, visit the Redken site.
