Jonas Brothers - A Little Bit Longer

I will be the first to admit that I am sick of the over processed voices of the Disney clones that have been clogging the airways since High School Musical and Hannah Montana have hit it big. The one exception to my Disney pop star loathing was the Jonas Bothers aka the Jo Bros. When they first came on the scene, I thought they were going to be a brunette version of Hanson, but that was definitely not the case. Yes, their music is fun and catchy but with a little more edge and originality, and these boys aren't sporting the hippy hair and distressed jeans the Hansons rocked in the late 90's. The Jonas Bothers can dress! I have to credit whoever styles these boys, s/he is a total genius. Maybe that's the reason I can't help but like them, they are so well put together - it's like British invasion meets punk, with a bit of prep thrown in. From their hair to their shoes, it's all so well thought out, and their music isn't bad either.

A Little Bit Longer is their third studio album, which I was pretty excited to hear. I liked a few of the singles they have released in the past, and I dug the fist single they released off this album, Burnin' Up. The rest of the CD is in fact better than that first single, especially Video Girl, a dig at Miley Cyruses and the Vanessa Hudgenses of the world (in case you didn't know, Nick Jonas briefly dated Miley). The album is fun and upbeat from start to finish, and it's a nice change that the boys actually co-wrote each song. Some people may still shy away from this Disney boy band, but give them a break they're actually really good.

Here's the video for Burning Up:
