If you are anything like me, you put your hair through a ton of stress with all of the styling you do, or with all of the drying styling products you use. And no matter how many times you deep condition your hair, it still feels dry and brittle, well at least mine does. Last time I was at the salon, I was told to use a new product that has caught the hair world by storm. It's called Moroccanoil, it's an oil based hair treatment that is supposed to heal and nourish damaged hair while also restoring shine and softness to dry hair.I was a little skeptical that it wouldn't be like an oil slick once it was applied to my hair, after all that's what you're doing, rubbing oil into your hair from tips to roots. But it wasn't greasy at all; it was instantly absorbed into my damp hair (probably a sign of how dry my hair is), and I could already feel a difference in how soft it felt. It was amazing, my hair felt so much better and it was so shiny and healthy looking. I was instantly a huge fan of the Moroccanoil. Here is another way to use the oil if you use curling irons or straighteners: once you have dried your hair, apply the oil, and then use your iron or curler. The oil protects the hair cuticle from being damaged while you apply heat to finish styling your hair. If you tend to be an outdoor person and your hair tends to bleach out in the sun, you can also use the Moroccanoil to prevent UV damage. It's a fantastic product that I highly recommend, but remember to use a little at first, you can always apply more.
