If you have been checking out any of the fashion mags lately, all of the makeup guides are showcasing the bold berry lip for fall. I for one love how sophisticated and glamorous this look is. It's best to keep the rest of the face makeup to a minimum: this means a nice rosy blush applied lightly with a little highlighter and some mascara.A little tip: if you use lip liner, make sure to not over do it. The berry lip is bold enough without a heavy application of liner. If you are worried about the color bleeding, then line, but use a light hand, your goal is to define your lips, not make them look larger.
I know finding the perfect berry lip really depends on skin tone, but here are a few of my favorite berry lipsticks:
Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Sexy
NARS Lipstick in Afghan RedMAC Lipstick in Sophisto (plum with gold shimmer)
If you prefer a gloss, here are a few in the berry family:
NARS Lip Lacquer in Eros
Stila Lip Glaze in Black CherryMac LipGelee in Moistly (not my favorite name but pretty light plum gloss)
