Kiehl's Yerba Mate Tea Lotion

For the past few weeks I was having issues with break outs along my forehead. I was using the Dr. Weil's lotion and serum by Origins which was recommended by the sales person for my combination/ oily skin. These are supposed to be some of the best skin care products on the market, but it just made my skin more oily and clogged my pores. For the amount of money the Weil's line cost, I was really unhappy with the results I was having.

I had used Kiehl's in the past with mixed feelings: I really liked the Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser and the Tea Tree Oil Toner, but I found the Ultra Face Moisturizer to be too greasy for my skin, which is why I decided to give the Origins products a try. After speaking with a Kiehl's sales representative and telling her about by breakout issues, she recommended a moisturizer from their new Yerba Mate Tea line. It's an oil free lotion that contains Yerba Mate, a "South American herb, to help infuse skin with all it needs to combat dullness and maintain its healthful and youthful vivacity."

It's a very light weight lotion that totally improved my skin's texture and overall appearance. It has a unique texture and a light herbal scent that's very different from other moisturizers I have used. I only needed a little to cover my face, and it is absorbed very quickly into the skin. I have been using it for a week, and I am happy to report that my skin is clearing up, and looks healthy and radiant. My only complaint is the lack of sunscreen, otherwise it's a great product that I highly recommend. If you'd like to learn more about the lotion, check out the Kiehl's site.
