Cle de Peau Beaute's Spring Look

If you have checked out any of the spring makeup collections, you have probably noticed lots of pastels, rosy blushes and shimmer. I like pastels, but some just don't really work with my skin tone, or I find them just a little too girly, I know can there be such a thing? And in my opinion yes. Look at the spring YSL palette for the eyes: soft yellow, pale pink and sea foam green, not my favorite color palette, but very pretty on someone else.

One line that hasn't gone in the pastel direction for spring, and has a look that I adore is Cle de Peau Beaute. They have opted to go with more of a 60's bronzed look that is reminiscent of Bridget Bardot sunbathing on the beaches of the French Riviera - oh so glam!

The collection is comprised of earth tone eye shadows, a heavy black liner (it's a ultra smooth cream liner), a bronzer plus highlighter, and a nude lip. I am loving the heavier cat eye with the bronzed cheek and neutral lip. The skin looks amazing due to the superior concealer (it was just chosen as a beauty best buy in the April issue of InStyle), foundations and powders of the Cle de Peau Beaute line that gives your complexion an impeccable finish. It's a timeless look that will translate into the hot days of summer flawlessly. The only downside is the collection is on the pricier side, but one can always dream, right?
