Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo

I admit it, I had total bag envy when I saw a friend with the Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo. It's a completely gorgeous over-sized leather hobo, and when i say over-sized I mean it - I was assured that this baby could fit a laptop, several bags of candy, a pair of shoes and all of the odds and ends a girl could possibly need throughout the day.

The pebbled leather is so decadent, and I like the subtle pleats at the front and back of the bag that add a touch of sophistication to the otherwise casual hobo shape. The main compartment has a magnetic enclose, and the interior is lined with an eye catching Marc Jacobs graphic print with a six inch zip pockets, two patch pockets and a handy key ring. The Hillier has two straps, one rolled shoulder strap, and a longer detachable cross body strap, which is so handy if you are carrying around a load of stuff.

I love how versatile the Hillier is, it can totally transition from day to night, with a simple switch of the strap. I also like the hardware which adds a nice touch of flash to the bag. I was told that this is the bag to get if you want to avoid the annoying and pretentious, "that bag is so last season." Apparently it's released every year in the same shape, and the only thing that changes are the colors in which it is offered. So in my opinion, that makes it worth in the investment.
