Benefit's Some Kind-a Gorgeous

Benefit's Some Kind-a Gorgeous is a cream to powder foundation that is supposed to even out any imperfections leaving your complexion silky smooth. Benefit only offered one color for the foundation, and its major claim to fame is that it matches all skin tones -I was highly skeptical, how could a foundation which matched my skin tone (fair to medium) match someone with an olive skin tone, and what about women with darker skin, would it match all of us? I think Benefit realized the problem because they have since released Some Kind-a Gorgeous Dark for darker tones.

I am usually a fan of having two different products for foundation and powder, so I was surprised that it did match my skin, and it evened out my complexion nicely. It's finish was matte and it's oil free, so you don't have to worry about it clogging your pores. It is very light weight and translucent, which is unusual for foundation powder combo because they tend to be heavy and on the cakey side. This product is perfect for your purse, and on the go touch ups. I wouldn't replace my foundation and powder for the Some Kind-a Gorgeous, but it's a great alternative that I would definitely use for quick fixes or when I don't want to spend the time putting on coverup, foundation and powder. It's perfect for the summer when you want to just swipe something on under your bronzer that's fast and easy.
