NARS Body Glow

The jury is still out for me on this product. The NARS Body Glow is a combination of Monoï de Tahiti oil combined with bronzers and gold shimmer that gives your skin a pleasant glow. The product is oil based and you would apply it as you would a moisturizer after a shower, leaving your skin looking and feeling pretty great. Don't be confused that the product is a lotion bronzer though - it leaves a very light tinge of color that will wash off, not like the self tanning moisturizers that depost color over time. I really liked how soft my skin was and I liked the slight bronzing affect with the hint of shimmer- very sexy and so Miami beach!

But there are some definite trade-offs involved. First is the packaging - it's impossible to get the product out of the bottle, and it's so messy. Second - the Monoï de Tahiti oil solidifies when cool, so you have to run it under hot water and shake it up to make sure the product is evenly mixed before you try to apply it. Third- is the scent. If you are not a fan of coconut and vanilla, stay far away, because the scent is overwhelmingly sweet and doesn't really fade. And fifth - since it's an oil, it does stain, so keep it away from silks or other delicate materials because the bronzers can discolor them if you aren't careful or don't wait for it to be completely absorbed into the skin. And the oil does sit on top of your skin for a while, so it can leave you feeling a bit greasy.

The biggest problem for me is the price tag for this product, considering how much you have to use for your whole body, you only get 4 oz for $60, a little pricey for a glorified bronzer. I guess it's a nice special occasion product, if you're willing to deal with the list of cons, which for the most part I am not.

I CANNOT STAND THIS PRODUCT!!! I was so excited about it bc it's from Nars, but is truly heinous. Not only is the fragrance overpowering, but it takes forever to dry. It ends up all over your clothes!
