Women's Fragrances: Why No Deodorant?

As I peruse the giant wall of fragrances at Sephora and other departments stores, one thought always crosses my mind: why don't women's perfumes offer deodorants or antiperspirants? Think about it, you could potentially be wearing three different scents all over your body: 1 -your deodorant, 2 -your body lotion and 3 -your perfume. Talk about sensory overload! And usually the scents don't really mesh that well, especially when it comes to deodorant. Seriously what compliments scents with names like Satin Pear, Vanilla Chai, Arctic Apple and Pure Cashmere? Is cashmere even a scent? And why would I want my armpits to smell like food?

When my boyfriend goes shopping for colognes, he doesn't have such problems. There is usually an option to buy a deodorant in the same scent as the cologne which creates a nice uniformity of fragrance, not like my hodge podge of differing smells. Why isn't this the case with women's fragrances? Now I know that most women's perfumes also now come in a moisturizer, but they are so over priced! And what's the fun in buying an unscented lotion? One alternative is to pour a little of your scent into an unscented lotion, but this could just end up a big old mess unless you have very steady hands.

But this still doesn't solve the question of the deodorant/ antiperspirant. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting for one, but how amazing would it be if Secret teamed up with Chanel and came up with a matching antiperspirant to their incredible scents? This might be wishful thinking on my part, but I can dream can't I?
